Associates degree or certificate of some kind?

Postby blaeey » Mon Dec 19, 2011 12:36 am

Sometimes I feel so lost in college! To keep it simple I been going since the Fall of 2008. I am a single mom of 2 one with special needs and I am finding college to be very challenging but I am trying to build a better future for us. I have changed my major 7 times! :( I am just not good at any math or science courses ... so what does that really leave me with?? Right now my major is criminal justice. I don't want to be a police officer but I find criminal law interesting. I am debating on just getting a certificate of some kind and just getting out of college and start working... maybe I am just meant to do simple things .....??

What job do you currently have? An Associates in Business Administration or Certificate in Business Management would make it A LOT easier for you to move up/be promoted in your current company.

And with Criminal Justice, there are other jobs than being a Cop. You could also be a Corrections Officer (in correctional facilities) too. If you like Criminal Justice then you may also want to look into a Paralegal degree (if your school offers it); as far as I know, it requires very minimal math and science.

Good luck to you and your family and happy holidays (:
