Of course they can. Once you have passed the bar Entrance exam for your state ,you are free to practice any branch of the law. Obviously it makes no sense to get involved with a branch of law in which you have little or no knowledge or experience. What usually happens in "one man" offices is that you have a consultation and if what you are seeking redress in is beyond the scope of the office, you will be referred on, in the bigger practices they usually have a partner that can deal with your inquiry. But yes, a lawyer is free to practice any branch of the law.
You see why it is a complete waste of time you asking a question and for me to answer it. I have given you the answer, and I bet because two idiots that know nothing about the law, except probably because they have had to seek the help of a lawyer, most likely on a drugs charges have given thumbs down, you will believe them. Oh well, the fees still keep coming into the office, so why should I worry. Do have a nice day.
