Can I take my Florida Permit Test online?

I'm about a year younger than most of my friends, and they all took their permit tests online last year. But according to them, the law has changed since then and now I actually have to go to the DMV to take it.
I'm currently in the process of taking my Drug & Alcohol test online and on the website that I'm doing it on, it says that the law was changed back as of July 2011 and that I can take it online again.
But I'm still not actually sure, and I'm wondering is anyone knows for a fact whether I can or can't?
And I mean online at home, not online at the DMV.

yes..the law did change back again and you can take it online...i would go to the Florida DMV website,go to drivers permit and they have the Fl approved websites so you can do it online..

Pick up the damn telephone, call the DMV and ask them. Why is that so hard to do?
