Can my employer search my car?

Here's the deal, I live in Missouri and I plan on getting a conceal carry permit soon. I would like to be able to keep my gun in my car while I'm at work but my company has a "No Weapons" policy anywhere on company property. Our company hand book says they can search our us or our vehicles anytime they want and we basically have to agree to the handbook when we get hired. Does the state law supersede the agreement I had with the company when I started?

It's private property, so the law on weapons does not supersede their private property rights. You have a contract with them. So yes, they can search your car. If you don't want that, find a new employer or don't carry the gun onto their property.

Your company regulations supersede the governments in this case. Because you handbook states the company can search your car, this means they have every right to do so. I am also sure you were required to sign something to the affect that you understood the regulations of the company. If you are found to have a weapon in your vehicle at work, the company has the right to fire you and escort you off the property immediately. The only way you can get around this agreement is to park off company property.

The constitution forbids THE GOVERNMENT from searching your car without a warrant or probable cause.

Your employer is not the government.

The parking lot is their property.
You are free to work elsewhere if you don't like the rules.

Now pay attention.
This is the coooool part.

A union contract would prohibit this rule.

THIS IS WHY YOU NEED A UNION.

While you're at it,
READ THE DAMN CONSTITUTION

Your employer can search your car. You must follow your employment agreement.

I'm afraid the agreement will hold up in court. also leaving a gun in a car unattended so long puts it at risk of theft.
