CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY HOMEWORK !?

Postby varik » Sat Dec 17, 2011 9:25 pm

SO I HAVE THE FIRST SENTENCE TO ALL MY PARAGRAPHS, CAN YOU JUST ADD ONE ON TO EACH PLEASE !!!! i'm arguing for the legalization of marijuana PLEASE IM STUCK

--------------------------------------…
*intro* *not yet done*
--------------------------------------…

*p1*
--------------------------------------…
People have often wondered why marijuana is illegal. The reasons are it is perceived as addictive, it has “no accepted medical use,” and it as been historically linked with narcotics. However, although marijuana has been viewed as being an addictive substance, the substance it self has no neurological addictive qualities. The usage of it simply produces effects that are habit forming, just like chocolate. We need to accept the fact that addiction is a personal and medical problem and can never be affected by government policies. Even though some see marijuana as a gateway drug
--------------------------------------…

*p2*
--------------------------------------…
Illegal drugs and violence
When marijuana was made illegal it was when violence was first associated with it. As with all crimes, violence follows due to the high risk and high profit let to be made by them. In the time period of alcohol prohibition murder rates were high, then fell after repeal, and rose again with increased efforts to prohibit illegal drugs and remain high today. Prohibition creates an illegal marked based on money, guns and violence. In the illegal drug market there is always the battle over territory. this never ending battle causes tension between drug dealers all over america. For example if someone tries to sell marijuana on a block that "doesn't belong to them," they will more than likely be consequenced through violence. and when that person is either hurt or dead then their family and friends want revenge upon the other dealer which creates unnecessary violence that could completely be avoided with a legal market for marijuana. when you have a legal market territorial issues are not as severe as in illegal market. Drug legalization could reduce community and police violence.
--------------------------------------…

*p3*
--------------------------------------…
World wide legalization of marijuana is not to far off the horizon or that impossible as some think. The city of Amsterdam is renowned for its laws on the legal usage of marijuana. Also in California, medical marijuana is already legal.
--------------------------------------…

*conclusion*

Until any factual studies are shown that it would be more dangerous than unethical for people to use marijuana recreationally, it seems the only thing keeping it legal is accomplishing is keeping violence and criminal activity around over the substance of marijuana
