I am currently a senior in high school and am planning on a career in law enforcement. In the fall, I will be attending the University of Albany to study Criminal Justice as their program was ranked 2nd in the country as of last year. I will be enrolling into a special program in which you earn a Master's Degree in just 5 years assuming that you maintain a certain gpa. My plan is to earn my Master's Degree and then apply to NYPD. I am also interested in looking into federal agencies such as the FBI and the DEA. Can anybody who has knowledge in this field please tell me if this sounds like a good plan if i want to pursue a career in law enforcement? Also, could you please add any advice that you might have about how I can make myself a more appealing candidate for a police department or a federal agency? thank you very much for your help.

If you want to join the FBI or dea you probaly want some experience being s street level cop, that would probaly make you more appealing
