Congressman Ron Paul exposed as a liar in his own essays?

Postby slaine » Sat Oct 29, 2011 11:57 pm

Ron Paul has said in his essays that he will be end the federal income tax and abolish the IRS, while he also favors abolishing medical malpractice insurance to be replaced by insurance of "negative outcomes" paid for by patients who will--and here's the stunning contradition--a TAX CREDIT!

Being an obstretrician himself (second-highest malpractice insurance rates by speciality) it's no wonder the kindly old Senator wants to shift the burden for deaths and injuries caused by incompetent and dishonest physicians to the American Taxpayer. Is this man an idiot or merely a shill doing the bidding of the American Medical Association?

For those who requested a link and the exact quote:

"The free-market approach enables patients to protect themselves with “negative outcomes” insurance purchased before medical treatment. Such insurance ensures that those harmed receive fair compensation, while reducing the burden of costly malpractice litigation on the health care system. . . .

Well, isn't that cushy for him. He's a loon. Don't worry about him. Most of his fan base can't vote.

I still don't understand how he lied to anyone. Besides he is a truthful person. I wish Ron Paul good luck, and I hope he will be elected president, please God.

Where's the lie? He wants to end income taxes. Until the day that happens, he is for anything that returns tax money to the tax payers, tax credits for example.

This isn't a contradiction. He has "introduced legislation that allows individuals a tax credit for the purchase of negative outcomes insurance."

He's already introduced the legislation for it...he hasn't become president yet...so until that time comes, we still have to pay taxes. The tax credit would become null and void is the income tax is abolished.

How many times are you going to ask this lame question?

And I don't even like Ron Paul or support him in any way!
