No one is perfect

MNBA, the largest employer in DE wanted these "reforms," so in a sense Biden was representing his constituents.

I recall reading about this back in Jan when Biden was still running for Pres. It seems that he got a few provisions into this bill that did provide some relief for very low income consumers. I am not saying, however, that the bill was GOOD for anyone but the credit card industry, I am only saying that Biden made it less bad.

By the way, I don't know if you were a Hillary supporter, but Hillary was the only Senator who was absent for the vote. It's a safe bet that she KNEW she'd be running higher office in 2008 but that Biden did not.

Obama voted against the bill. I think he would have had a really really hard time explaining a "yes" vote because as a community organizer in S Chicago, he met a lot people who were bankrupt or nearly so.

You mean the Joe Biden that is in the pocket of credit card companies - the Joe Biden that couldn't get elected twice - - the one who didn't get any delegates this time around ? What a loser.

No. However, Obama voted against it and your characterization of it as condemning Americans to slavery is just hyperbole.
