The ICE enforcement agents' union is reporting an incident from earlier this week that illustrates the perverse results of the Obama administration's DREAM decree and "prosecutorial discretion" policies. An illegal alien, who is described as meeting the criteria for the president's DREAM amnesty, was arrested and jailed in El Paso, Texas, on a domestic assault charge. When ICE agents arrived at the jail for routine inmate screening, the 5'9", 245 lb. illegal alien attempted to escape, and in the process assaulted and injured one of the ICE agents. According to the union statement, ICE managers ordered the criminal alien released without charges, despite the escape attempt and assault on a federal agent (a felony), not to mention his illegal status. Meanwhile, before offering medical treatment to the injured, the agents were questioned by managers regarding possible disciplinary action for their efforts. The injured agent will be restricted from duty for two weeks due to his injuries.

Said union president Chris Crane:

ICE managers didn't even question the criminal alien but instead ordered that he immediately be released in accordance with the president's new immigration polices stating that ICE's mission now is to identify aliens and release them … . As an agency we're just checking boxes in an effort to release everyone we can. Law enforcement, public safety, and common sense are all out the window; officers are under orders to ignore the danger signs, even when they witness a possible felony assault of one of our own officers.

Someones is really stupid, either him for trying to escape, or the people who believe he was trying to escape.

Let me tell you guys what happened to my friend a while back. This is an actual friend of mine, not a friend of a friend of a friend, so I know most of the story.

He was driving drunk, and when I say drunk I mean DRUNK!! he was pulled over by a deputy here in maricopa county. Before you know more deputies came... To make the story short he got beaten by them to the point he got stitches in his ear. They let him go without even a ticket.

I told him he should sue but the dumbass was scared that they were going to put him in jail for the dui.

I'm not assuming anything, but it seems to odd that they would just release the dreamer just like that... After assaulting an ice agent... No questions asked, given that the agent was injured enough for him to stay home for two weeks.
