Divorce law conflict of interest in Ca family Law?

Postby kirklin » Fri Oct 28, 2011 11:49 pm

have a case in Orange County Court. Yesterday my husbands lawyer claimed that my Lawyer has seen my husband for a consult. So now my lawyer has to back off for conflict of interest. Which will screw mw because this is a DV case. I feel very unprotected right now. My question is that the Lawyer that my husband has in the Divorce ( he has two one for the Divorce and on for the DV because he has a DV in criminal and in family court) Ok so the Divorce lawyer, represent my 1st husband ( not current one) in a case to get custody of my two older kids. So isn’t there a conflict of interest there. I feel lost cause I paided one lawyer now I have to get another one and since my husband broke my leg, and I can’t work and the one I had said that he can’t give me money back because he did a lot of work. Which I understand. My husband has lots of money and I feel he is trying to stall me out since I have none. He could afford two lawyers.

There is no question here. Your lawyer had no choice bu to withdraw, it has nothing to do with your husband. His lawyer has no conflict because he represented another person against you. So I'm not sure what you are asking?
