said so? Check out Black's Law Dictionary (the standard source for all lawyers):
"Blacks 8th

person. 1 . A human being. ---- Also termed natural person.

2. The living body of a human being.

3. An entity (such as a corporation) that is recognized by law as having most of the rights and duties of a human being."

I actually think that most of them do but rely on their belief that others are ignorant in such matters and use the SC ruling as political fodder.

Yes. Since the 1840s, long before women and non-whites were recognized as persons. So are we going back to those days? Is that what conservatives really want?

And? Until the Supreme Court butted in corporations couldn't use "personhood" as an excuse for buying politicians and elections.

Were corporations considered people before blacks were considered human beings?

Gee can we put them ( the whole corporation ) in jail for corruption then where many of them belong ?
I am just playing it out to the end - see how it comes out in the wash so to speak.
It is a ludicrous law in other words - and that is nothing personal toward you.

Most. Note your own source. Most, not all. The Supreme Court added to that most. That was an error on their part.

Of course you left out the real legal history. Corporate person hood is not an eternal legal determination, but one with a specific history.

It's not as old as you think.

And the legal precedent came from the Supreme Court. Do you think they just opened up a copy of Black's and followed what it said? No, they said first Black's added it. Do read the annotations.

It's mostly conspiracy theorists who are latching onto this "person" thing.

They are morons.

Anyone who has ever taken a basic business law course knows that Corporations have always been likened to "persons" in certain circumstances, for centuries.

This is nothing new, but idiots who don't know anything make a big deal of things in this Internet age.
