I'd like to find out whatever I can about a Nitro Hunter single-shot 12 gauge shotgun. Searching on the Internet, I've found vague data at best about this shotgun. The last patent date on the gun is May 27, 02 (that's 1902). It also seems to not be very valuable or sought-after. It has a "Nitro Hunter" logo on the left side with a ram skull between "Nitro" and "Hunter". It looks like there may be a serial number on the barrel under the forearm, but it's hard to read. There's also a "D" stamp there, and "0078" is stamped into the bottom of the forearm itself. "Reinforced Breech" and "Choke Bored" are stamped into the top of the barrel. It appears to have a 30" barrel with a 3" chamber.
