I was pulled over a few days ago by a Colorado State trooper, after i was cited the officer never made me sign the ticket and then left. So does it void the ticket? or should i just cut my losses and take it?

In most states your signature is NOT needed for a simple traffic infraction. However, the Trooper must sign the copy the judge gets.

You would have been required to sign a more serious court summons for a misdemeanor charge. If you had refused to sign a court summons they you would typically be taken to jail to post an appearance bond.

The Trooper was required to give you a carbon copy of the ticket as well. You are allowed to sign your copy.

Sorry, but it will not void the citation. I can promise you that if you don't take care of it, a bench warrant would be issued and your license would be suspended. At the very least, I would suggest you contacting the presiding court clerk and explain the situation to them.

I personally know of this happening, not in Colorado, but in an adjacent state.
