I was driving (speed limit was 35 and I was going 35) and I entered an intersection while the light was still green. I got maybe 6/10-7/10 of the way through, way after the stop line and crosswalk while the light was green ( more than the middle) and then the light turned yellow. There was someone tailgating me-almost touching my car and there was heavy rain at the time so it would have been silly to stop while the light was still green and have him, likely rear-end me because it was raining and he would have to break very hard. He also went through it too. I looked in my rear view a couple seconds after and the light was still yellow The problem was that the traffic lights at the intersection did not have those 'countdown computers' at each crosswalk before the light changes. Usually at intersections I would see like at the crosswalk (10..9...8..7 and so on) before the light changes-this intersection didn't have one. It was impossible to know when the light would change. I also heard that the police can photoshop or alter the photos somehow and make it so me (and the tailgater) 'enter' the intersection on yellow and having it turn red 6-7/10 of the way through-when in actuality, I got through the intersection on green 6-7/10 of the way through before it turned yellow. Am I going to get a ticket and what would be the chances of me fighting it? I am concerned because this would be my 2nd red light ticket if I do get one-thinking about fighting the first one though-where I passed and cleared the intersection on yellow (I know this because I looked in my rear view after I went through the intersection and the light was still yellow for another second or so (this was for my 1st 'offense'). Ironically, this is the same intersection too (Livingston and Roosevelt). I live in ohio btw. Am I going to get a ticket and is there a good chance of fighting it and winning?
