GW BUSH regime under fire for using 'fast and furious' in 2006?

Uh oh, Republicans.
As usual, this is about to explode in your faces.
Seems ole GW Bush was doing some 'fast and furious' dealings in 2006.

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2012/01/05/144761413/documents-suggest-bush-administration-used-fast-and-furious-tactics
"The Justice Department sent nearly 500 pages of documents to Republican lawmakers Thursday that suggest the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives may have used questionable tactics and lost track of American-made weapons in a gun trafficking investigation on the Mexican border as early as 2006."

"A senior Obama administration Justice Department official who briefed reporters on the documents said the papers show law enforcement officers in the Bush years could have filed criminal conspiracy and false statements charges against lower level figures in the gun trafficking operation, but they decided to watch and wait until they could move higher up the chain of command.

"We want the... manufacturing and distribution pieces also – we want it all," an ATF official wrote in March 2006."

Any of you cons want to explain how this is Obama's fault, especially since Bush was president in 2006?

LMAO!

And something similar to that, the Iran-Contra affair during the Reagan administration. Gee, selling weapons to Iran and using the money to help the Nicaraguan Contras by buying their crack cocaine and selling it on the streets of Los Angeles. ... No harm could happen from that!!! z

Not even close. "Documents obtained by CBS News show that the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) discussed using their covert operation "Fast and Furious" to argue for controversial new rules about gun sales."

This administration pushed gun across the border for the express purpose of trying to promote circumstances that would given them an impetus to undermine our Constitutional rights.

The difference.... during Bush the Mexicans were informed and kept fully involved. No actual weapons were allowed to get into Mexico.

Obama kept it secret from the Mexicans and sent thousands upon thousands of guns into Mexico. Where they are today nobody knows.

The reason Liberals LMAO is because they don't get their facts straight. A smaller, similar program was run under the Bush Administration. It was way smaller in scope and didn't loose track of the guns.

Read it more carfully. It says:

"A senior Obama administration Justice Department official who briefed reporters on the documents said the papers show law enforcement officers in the Bush years could have filed criminal conspiracy and false statements charges against lower level figures in the gun trafficking operation, but they decided to watch and wait until they could move higher up the chain of command.

"We want the... manufacturing and distribution pieces also – we want it all," an ATF official wrote in March 2006."

How can you say that's a problem?
