How come California gives illegal immigrants cheaper tuition than American citizens?

The real nasty thing about this ruling is that you get to pay the cheaper rates if you are here illegally. However anybody who follows the rules and is here on a student visa pays full rates - even if they attended high school in the state.

In effect - we are rewarding criminal activity with a tuition subsidy and punishing those people who come here and follow the rules.

California is notorious Liberal movement unto itself, which is why it was surprising the marijuana issue was soundly defeated.
The California Supreme Court has been the most Liberal in the nation for decades now and dismissed lawsuits filed to end the "Safe City" San Francisco from harboring and protecting illegals.
If this issue proceeds to the SCOTUS there may be a serious question, what with Obama's 2 Liberal activist appointee's. Seems that these groups have learned how to hide behind our Constitution to gain concessions.
This country is in serious jeopardy and most don't realize how serious this has become.

Wrong! The state supreme court ruled that illegal immigrants are entitled to pay the SAME tuition as any other resident of the state of CA. They don't get it cheaper. If they went to high school and met all the requirements for entry the state decided that they should receive the same treatment not get cheaper tuition.
