How do I figure out my personal injury settlement from an auto accident? (plus review part of demand letter)?

I'm currently writing a demand letter and need to know how much to ask for other than the medical bills that I have receipts for. I came across this calculator, but still am unsure on some things: http://www.after-car-accidents.com/personal-injury-calculator.html

For example, what would I put for lost income if I'm unemployed and have stayed unemployed due to prolonged issues with the car / auto shop as well as physical pain and stress? Would it count if I mentioned the inability to secure a job due to these things resulting from the accident?

Also, the car repair costs have already been paid off. It's just the medical bills and others that I need to figure out. I've included a bit of what I'd like to say, but am unsure if this is too much or if it's ridiculous to even mention. I've never written a demand letter before, so don't know how it's supposed to be done.

Here's pieces of what I have so far:
"It has taken me a while to submit this demand letter since I have not been in the right mind state for some months. I suffer from depression and was previously taking medication however, shortly after the accident I stopped going back for refills so that I could use my money instead to correct the back, shoulder and neck pain resulting from the accident. Being unemployed, I had to decide what needed to be taken care of most and felt the physical pain to be much more debilitating. It’s been a very stressful past several months and I’ve been unable to secure a job since issues with my car and the auto shop as well as dealing with the physical pain and recurring depression, which has additionally made it very difficult to focus, has been taking up a lot of my time.

I am still suffering from back and shoulder pains, resulting in loss of sleep and fatigue due to the inability to sleep. Despite the pain and need for more treatment, I have had to stop chiropractic visits due to the lack of funds-- funds which I was initially withdrawing from my emergency savings."

Obviously I have a lot more to write out along with the necessary details of the accident + bills. BUT how is it so far? It feels weird to complain but I do want to be compensated for all the trouble because the accident was not my fault at all.

Any help would be really appreciated.

There is no formula, there is no "chart" to look at. What someone else got has nothing to do with what you may get. Who are you are you writing this "demand" letter to? Why are you trying to do this alone?
Sorry, but I don't think you have a chance in H*ll of getting anything.

Give us some more details. What, if anything have you received? from who?
