How to identify fake converse sneakers?

Postby warton26 » Sun Apr 10, 2011 2:25 pm

I purchased a pair of chuck taylors online for $39.99 and im trying to figure out if mine are authentic or fakes. Ive noticed they do not have a Registered Trademark stamp anywhere on the shoe. Nor did they have that little tag thats normally attached to one of the lace holes. Could they be fakes? Or maybe it was just a factory flaw?

Oh yeah, I bought mine on zappos.com.

It must be a factory error. As far as I know Zappos never sells fakes. Ive used them lots of times before. If they are made in China and say "All*Star" on the heel then they are in fact real.

Zappos doesn't sell fake shoes but you don't have to worry about them being fake, Converse are so cheap there isn't really fake Converse except for this brand "Airwalk" sold at Payless.

alright I have 5 pairs so I think I might be able to help with this:
All*Star needs to be prints on a piece of cloth on the tongue & on a piece of rubber on the heel of the shoe. There will most likely be 6 eyelets. Converse with a star under it and allstar under that will be stamped into the bottom of it. The size (in men's) will be stamped under that. The sole of your shoe (where your foot goes) will have Converse printed into it & the bottom of the word will be toward the inside of your foot.
