A couple o years a ago i was working for a small company, the person that was getting the work done wrote one check to me for $218.00, for more supplies. The other check was written days before not in my name, it was to the owner of the company for $1200.00 that was paying for the job. The person that i was working for didnt complete the job and was fired off the job. Now i have a mark on my credit from a small claims court for 1218.00 dollars. My name has nothing to do with the business, i know i the check of 218.00 is in my name, and that is my responsiblitiy to take care of, but how can i have 1218.00 on my credit report when i didnt have anything to do with the 1200 check? what should i do?
