I have a few questions about my texas drivers test.?

i took an online course (virtual drive of texas) which didnt help me at ALL with my permit test.... i passed it just out of luck on the 2nd try. i finished the course, im almost 17 (im a year late starting the whole thing) and ive been driving for 6 months. i park pretty well and im very defensive in my opinion compared to many other horrible texas drivers. my questions are, will i be taking a written test? (i have asked a few of my friends and they said no but the website i learned from said yes but its very old.. and i took a test on there and passed with a 93.7% (with a little help from my family)) my next question is will they ask questions while im driving? for example like rules of the road or what to do it ____ happens or where to turn your wheels if your parked on a hill (there arent any real hills in dallas) i also want to know when im doing parallel parking how many times am i allowed to reverse and go straight? like after i back into the spot and pull forward will i be able to reverse and go forward again while in the spot to make it perfect? i will be driving my moms minivan (its a honda oddessy touring) and it has a rear camera on it aswell as sensors that beep when somthing is next to my car... such as a parallel parking pole. and lastly does my mom (who signed up to be my instructor) have to be there or can i go with my dad (who wasnt signed up to be my instructor) take me to the office. he isnt allowed to sign off my 36 hours of incar lessons which only my mom can. any help would be greatly apperciated.... none of my friends will help and the website that im learning from is a complete waste.... its based off laws from over 10 years ago.
