Bad Dog nailed it. no question get the degree Law Enforcement will always welcome educated applicants and and with some hard work may be you can follow his success.Let the Department know how you feel. I was in the same situation as you were, and I turned the offer down but advised the department the reason why. I continued to pursue my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, and when I finished I had many agencies that wanted me to join. I am currently employed by The Ohio State Highway Patrol, and have the opportunity to be a viable candidate for the DEA, FBI, or the ATF. This is only because my education was first and foremost. Going for four years is also beneficial because it allows you to get into top physical condition before you hit the streets. Good luck, and make sure you wear your BP vest when you get out there. I missed 3 bullets Saturday night! Good luck!
