I need help with a little decision?

Postby ashbey15 » Fri Dec 16, 2011 12:36 pm

Alright, I'm 12 and I just got offered a job by my dads friend who works at funeral home to clean up, keep the place looking nice, etc. It's 50 dollars a week and 200 dollars a month. Which I added to be about 2400 USD, although I have to share this job with my 2 brothers which I don't think will work. Should I put the money in the bank or buy something? Don't give me a lecture on child labor laws, I already know.

bank it.. buy a car when your of age to drive.. it'll feel rewarding... and girls in school will like your ride if you save up 5k or so. i should have saved money when i was your age. instead i spent it on stupid stuff like a 360, games, junk food and so forth.

Money is money kid, we all do those jobs when we are young.
Saving the money would be good, or save a percentage of your pay and keep the other for things you want.
It will be pretty much that way for the rest of your life, we work we save we spend.

Unless you want to be a millionaire when your 25, just save it all in a fixed term deposit and invest it when your 18.

Put most of your money in the bank, and buy yourself a few things you really want. Save for the big things you want, while you enjoy the benefits of a little cash all your own. Enjoy!
