You need to be under the age of 16 by the time the adoption takes place, and both of your parents need to be dead. Time to get busy.

In addition, even then the adoption may not be done in order to provide immigration benefits. So even if you kill both of your parents and get away with it, you still would have a problem. Better play the lottery and become a multi-millionaire. In that case you can apply for a student visa and when you're done with school get a Green Card based on being an investor.
Good luck!

If you are old enough to write what you did you are probably too old to be adopted for immigration purposes. 16 is the cut off.

There's no way adoption is going to do anything for you. You are too old to complete adoption proceedings and get immigration through adoption. You are not an orphan, so both parents must legally relinquish you in the courts of your country of citizenship (you are not a UK citizen, apparently you and your parents are not legally permanent residents of UK, so UK courts probably have no jurisdiction for this). Then the court has to approve any prospective adoptive parents after proper investigations by child protective services. After preliminary adoption proceedings, it then takes a year before you can go back to court for finalizing the adoption. Wanting US citizenship for your child is NOT valid & acceptable reason for relinquishing a child. It amounts to immigration fraud. Forget the whole idea.
