Of course, everyone wants to live in a country where a safe environment is provided to have a family.

The middle east is not safe as we have seen in recent months. Dictators receiving billions of dollars annually (supported by the US and UK) and not really caring for their own people, all because they have oil. Its natural to want to raise your kids in the best possible environment
If Iran is attacked (as rumours have it), there may well be a big increase of Iranian civilians in the EU

Asia is somewhat safe but the countries with the exception of China are poor. Their education system is not recognised.
India has a very highly-educated population
And their are no laws on minimum pay - which is why some firms outsource to India and take advantage of extremely low wages.

Eastern Europe has the same problem with minimum pay + Its cold

The UK has a good quality of life, great education system, a minimum pay, security

In order to stop immigration, should the UK not assist SOME countries in sorting themselves out?

Immigration is increasing because the British keep voting for it.

immigration increases because politicians have elected not to represent their peoples best interests.

the divide between the rich and the poor in the UK is massive , we have homeless and poverty here we should sort our own people out first , not every british person has a good quality of life
Isreal is rightly supported by the UK and America
Iran is more likely to attack first

Immigration increases because Governments will not stop it.
Immigrants have too much given to them, too quickly,in England. It is a golden destination, where even benefit level living is vastly better than most Asian and African incomers could ever hope for in their homelands

Yes to a degree. The real problem is the poor have the ability to move. In the past this was not possible. Also with vast over population , there is more pressure to immigrate. On top of this there is the stupidity factor.France in the 1930's where never have allowed all those Arabs to move there. same for Britain.Germany shot itself in the foot by allowing in "guest workers"

More about the drop in the cost of world travel. People used to immigrate for life, only the rich could ever return home. These days few immigrants have this commitment. They all plan on moving to a rich country, working and returning home.

Starvation or salvation basically, and we do spend millions in foreign aid but until some of these countries get a decent government it simply won't do any good, cue the Arab spring, this is 2012 and the tyrants arresting progress need to be thrown out, until then the situation will continue.

A Zimbabwe spring would be good...dream on folks!
