Let's say that someone within my social circle has cheated me out of a large sum of money. To put it briefly, I want to expose them to my particular group of individuals and the fact that they are not responsible people. Would it be considered libel or otherwise illegal for me to publicly display or disperse their bankruptcy record and other information that is truthful and freely available to the public anyway?

yes you can as you said it is public record, however if they can convince the BK Judge or trustee you are doing it in order to collect a debt that has been discharged you will find yourself owing him

It depends on your jurisdiction; they may be able to sue you for violation of the bankruptcy discharge, intentional infliction of emotional distress, or something else.

Vindictiveness is not constructive. You aren't helping anyone. Get over it and move on.
