ok so my Gf and I have been dating for almost 4 months now, and Im deeply in love with her. I will never want what i have with her to end. We might be young but we are mature and know what we are doing. She loves me as well too. She just turned 16 in june, and i turned 18 in may.Her mom loves me and treat me like a part of their family, even the rest of the family... i feel like I'm a part of their family and i love it. i am going to college and we talked about it and how it gonna goes. I am very loyal, anything that have to do with any other girls that might get me into so much drama i don't get my self in. i think she is perfect and beautiful in every way. I don't want anything to destroy it or make it complicated and bad.
anyways lets get to my question....
I live in Michigan... is it ok by law that we are dating? Im not asking cuz I'm scared or anything but a lot of people tell me its not good cuz of age. i don't care about age, i just wanna know if its alright. or is it illegal in anyway? I just don't want anything bad happening to us.

there are NO laws about dating only about sex --- in michigan the age of consent is 16 so you can even legally have sex ---- so you dont even need to be careful regarding what people see ---- you can be as affectionate as you wish and if anyone does not like it tough cookies for them ---- enjoy

It should be fine aslong as you two are not sexually active. If you are and y'all brake up, she could file and press charges of statutory rape.

Personally, I think that as long as all of the parents approve of the relationship, it's fine. If her parents accept you as their daughter's boyfriend, then chances are they will trust you to not do anything illegal. 16 and 18 isn't too bad. I'm guessing she's a sophomore and you were a senior? I think it's fine.
