Is it legal to advertise taste test results?

Postby chozai65 » Sun Apr 10, 2011 11:10 pm

I have a coffee shop specializing in specialty coffees, i held a blind taste test vs. starbucks and our coffee was picked 5-1 Would it be libelous to post these findings on a banner or advertisement along with the fact that our coffee is cheaper?

I wouldn't want to use their name specifically (and let me know if this would be even worse) I was thinking about fashioning a green/white circular logo that obviously hints towards Starbucks next to our findings. Is this illegal in anyway? I understand it can still be libel if it is true but technically, to me, the findings do not seem malicious or defamatory but more like a statement of fact/findings.

I appreciate your answers in advance!
