Is it time Residents Call For Crackdown On Illegal Immigration illegal who caused fatal accident could just be deported and all charges will be dropped ?MILFORD, Mass. -- Dozens of Milford residents packed a town hall meeting Wednesday, calling for immigration reform in Massachusetts after a local man was hit and killed while riding his motorcycle, allegedly by a drunken Ecuadorean man with a criminal record who is in the U.S. illegally.
Matthew Denice, 23, died last month, sparking debate about what should happen to the suspect, Nicholas Guaman, 34, who did not have a driver's license.
Guaman could be deported, but Denice's family wants him to face justice here. Milford residents staged a demonstration in the rain, calling for change.

"Guaman ... had previous DUIs, previously been stopped for driving without a license," said Denice's brother, Michael.
"I definitely want to make changes on many levels. The illegal issue, the drunk driving issue and I think there has to be much stiffer fines for people who drive without a license," said Matthew's mother, Maureen.
Maureen Laquerre spoke on behalf of her brother, Richard, who she said was killed by an unlicensed illegal immigrant who ran a red light.
"We break the law, we're punished. They can't just say, "You're going to break the law, slap your hands, go back home.' That's what happened to the woman who killed our brother," she said.
Representatives of the Ecuadorean consulate who called the meeting were on hand to hear their frustration.
"We feel the pain in their faces, we see that. We see what they want. We see that they don't want immigrants coming to this country, but that's something that this country, nor Ecuador, nor any other country, can fix," said Pablo Calle, Ecuador's local director of immigration.
Still, he said, his country is committed to working on the problem. There were numerous calls for Gov. Deval Patrick to step up and address the issue.http://www.thebostonchannel.com/r/29115713/detail.html
