Very much so... in the same way the gutenberg press, allowed us to store our collective memory, the internet is allowing us to share a collective brain.

Read McLuhan's 'Gutenberg galaxy', he was taking about this in the 50s/60s.

yes, indeed... idiots can find all kinds of other idiots that string together lies to support any idea they can find...

see... you prove the point quite well...

what do you call it when someone has a lot of evidence but that evidence doesn't prove what they claim it does? I guess it's called taking a "major dundee" now?

I think it will be exactly that. I don't agree with any of your conclusions but I'm comforted in knowing that the opposite views are equally available and intelligent people and weigh and consider.

As you argue for the continued decent into poverty of more and more Americans, and the continued favoritism for those becoming richer and richer, please consider Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. There, dictators have fallen and I believe in part to the social networking available on the internet.

The primary cause of income inequality and concentration of wealth in this country is ignorance, an ignorance supported and preserved by this top-heavy system. As more Americans gain access to the truth, that ignorance will be dispelled. I think your old world is rapidly aging.

I am for governments and world government so I do not want the Internet to be a game changer.
