Hello, I am having issues with the differences between malicious falsehood and libel, and I was wondering if we could sue for both?

All help is most appreciated. Thanks in advance!

libel is a fact...
it was a wrongly written fact about a person - accidental, careless or otherwise.

malicious falsehood - has deliberate intent (and maybe written or spoken)
