There are no laws in any state which offers consumers 3 days to rescind a purchase, unless it is in the contract supplied by the dealership.

Lemon cars are a different story all together. There are specific steps which must take place before a car can be classified as a "Lemon", which would take more than 3 days. It typically involves a vehicle which meets the age guidelines and has been in a service department 3 times & 30 days for the same exact problem. They do vary slightly per state, however it would definatley take longer than 3 days to classify a car a "Lemon" I hope this helps.

Not sure about Texas. Usually these types of laws refer to door to door sales. As for lemon, your state should have a Lemon Law. NEVER TRUST A USED CAR DEALER ! If your contract says as is, where is, you are stuck. I once picketed a dealer that did the same to me, passed out flyers telling buyers to beware of dealer (nothing else, you'll get sued). Eventually the Cops showed up but TV, radio and news people were already there, I'd called them. I was extremely careful not to slander or defame dealer. I just stated that I had purchased a lemon and wanted reconciliation. Dealer caved in.

some states have what they call a grace period as to where the consumer has the right to cancel any deal with in a certain amount of time you,ll have to check with the laws in your state to find out what they are, good luck on it.

There is no 3 day rule that says you can bring your car back, that rings true for all states. As far as lemon law: This only applies to new cars. Used cars are required to come with a limited warranty if they fall into a certain age/mileage bracket and are sold by a licensed dealer. But not all cars are covered, you'll have to check your paperwork and look for the limited warranty.

A car can't be classified as a lemon in just 3 days. Most dealerships will work with you provided the car hasn't been abused, but the law is in there court. The lemon law goes against the manufacturer and is when the car has been in the service department several times for unresolved issues. If something goes wrong and is repaired, and then something else goes wrong and is repaired, that isn't a lemon. A lemon would be when the same problem keeps arrising and never seems to get repaired despite repeated attempts to diagnose and repair.
