example -- i own a car, i get mad, i bust the windows out. can i be charged with a crime. assuming the vehicle is paid for in full, and is owned outright.

As long as you don't then engage in fraud (e.g., attempt to get reimbursed by car insurance for the damage), harm or endanger anyone else in the process, or otherwise violate the law you are free to do as you please.

It's legal to damage or destroy your own paid-for car, including breaking the windows. You just can't do it in a way that's illegal, such as by burning it (which could be considered arson).

If someone tries to stop you and lays their hands on your first, you have the right to defend yourself, which includes pushing them away.

Criminal mischief gives law enforcement the ability to prosecute if they feel the need. So yes this can in fact lead to a criminal charge.

distributing the peace and if there's pushing/shoving that can lead to a assault/battery charge or domestic violence.
