This is how Islam treats woman in the same way Catholic priests molesting children is how Catholics treat children. honestly a few bad apples do not poison the entire tree. I have Islamic friends here in Sweden and none of them would torture and sell there child into slavery. Woman rights in countries like Afghanistan are not going to change over night even though great strides have been made in the way of woman's rights. lets not forget America would not allow woman to vote until 1920 when the 19th amendment was ratified (link posted in sources). The simple fact is any large scale social change takes years to change. Anyone who thinks social ideals can be changed over night is living in a fantasy world and forcing them to change would only put more people into danger. This is supported through historical fact. Perfect example would be the dark ages of Europe where religion reigned supreme and social change was vilified for over 400 years.

Muslin point of view about women role in society is regarded as archaic.Although Islam was settled in the Seventh Century, its alienation from the social revolutions that took place in the West, the last one in 1970, puts the its civilization centuries back in time.So they treat women as cattle and the amazing detail in this reality is that they ignore the weigh of this delay in their social development.For instance, Afghanistan is a marvellous and extense country, with a very nice people.Unfortunately, they are 88% illiterate.Great powers show up to convey war and violence to the country, so they are left to obey the remaining and more suitable voice , the Sharia and partly good message of their old traditions.Sometimes they reject the teachings of the western missioners, because they distrust their good feelings, watching their everlasting hunger for oil.
