Israel Attacks Civilian Mercy Ship.. Is This Self Defense? ?

Postby delrico » Mon Apr 11, 2011 1:23 pm

The Dignity, a Free Gaza boat on a mission of mercy to besieged Gaza, is being attacked by the Israeli Navy in international waters. The Dignity has been surrounded by at least half-a-dozen Israeli warships. They are firing live ammunition around the Dignity, and one of the warships has rammed the civilian craft causing an unknown amount of damage. Contrary to international maritime law, the Israelis are actively preventing the Dignity from approaching Gaza or finding safe haven in either Egypt or Lebanon.

Webmaster's Commentary:
At last report, the Israeli Navy rammed the Dignity and she is taking on water fast. Dignity is trying to make landfall in Lebanon.

I dont really know. Either way it wouldnt matter. The world doesnt want America to police things, we should stop funding people and just stay out of these things..maybe take care of our own poor and of course our corrupt government.

I'm picturing a mercy yacht allegedly carrying medical supplies to German-held lands in 1942. Would you protest if American forces turned them back?

islamonline.net? Sounds like a very unbiased news source to get your news from.

Anyways, to your question - Israel asked that ship to stop and they wouldn't. Israel rammed that ship slightly to prevent it from reaching Gaza. Why would Israel ram a humanitarian aid ship? For the same reason there's a blockade - Hamas.

Your sources are Muslim/Arab, and therefore extremely biased and unreliable!
The truth is, Israel has continued to allow humanitarian aid to pass through Gaza's border crossings despite Hamas's rocket and mortar attacks, including upon the crossings themselves.
23 trucks bearing medical supplies, basic food commodities and other humanitarian goods passed through the Kerem Shalom crossing into Gaza beginning at 10.30am on Sunday morning (28 Dec).
"As the prime minister said yesterday, we are not at war with the Palestinian people, but with the Hamas terrorists, and therefore we are bringing in the goods for the Palestinian people," said IDF Major Peter Lerner, Defense Ministry Coordinator for Government Activities in the Territories.
Three humanitarian aid agencies are sending goods into the Gaza Strip: UNWRA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency), WFA (World Food Agency) and the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross). All three agencies were notified Saturday evening that they would be allowed to send as many truckloads of supplies into the region as they could muster. "We didn't place any limit on the number of trucks," Lerner said. "There are only 30 truckloads because that was what they were able to get ready for today."

Israel Attacks Civilian Mercy Ship.. Is This Self Defense? ?

Yes it certainly is. They were aiding and abetting an enemy that has fired thousands of rockets into civilian populations in Israel in the past year.

Enough is enough.

Lets see...

The ship was from an American Based "free-gaza" Org.
The nutbag of the year ,Cynthia Mckinney, was aboard.
and they were on a Yacht.

they refused to come up on the radio.

they are fortunate Israel did not open fire...

count your blessings, no sightseeing the war zone.

Israel Attacks Civilian Mercy Ship.. Is This Self Defense? ?

First of all these are the facts and you should get your facts right...The dignity was on the way to Gaza with the soul purpose of going through the barricade, (which it has already done six times) and when the Israeli ships came and surrounded the boats and radioed to the dignity to identify itself and its not aloud into Gaza because it is an active military zone. When there was no response from the dignity, the dignity then kept going to Gaza and tried to outmaneuver the Israeli boats, and when the Israeli boats followed, the two ships collided. THE DIGNITY DESERVED WHAT IT GOT BECAUSE IT TRIED TO BREAK INTO A MILITARY ZONE AND DEFIED A DIRECT ORDER FROM THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT.
