Law help dealing with Liability?

Postby jabarl » Mon Dec 12, 2011 10:22 am

I have a dirtbike that I ride. Lately I have been letting kids learn how to ride because I thought it was generous. This lady got mad that I wouldn't let her son ride so she told the person I keep the dirtbike at to stop letting me ride. I was also assaulted by this women, I did not press charges because her older son is my best friend. Her excuse was that since I keep the dirtbike at his house, he is liable in case something bad happens. I am 18 and I find this fishy. If I take the bike doesn't the bike become my property again? So In case something bad happens I am liable right? I just want to prove this psycho lady that she knows jack! Who is liable?

Since you are 18 you CAN infact be held liable for her son's injuries, or any of the other kids' injuries, as a result of them falling off or being hit by YOUR dirtbike. Frankly, you are the only one who doesn't know jack.
