Laws against neighborhood pets destructing personal property? ( please read description)?

We just bought a New house a few months ago, and its in a city where there is a lack of caring, or dignity to say the least...... Due to weather, time, lack of supplies and funds we cannot not completely enclose the side of our home with fencing, And a few people on our block allow there dogs to run wild, and they come onto our property, poop, throw up, eat away at pipe insulation and knock over our trash cans and spread our garbage about our street. Needless to say my husband and I are upset and disappointed that no one even complained (I know that sounds weird) but no one even asked us to clean it up or complained that it was blowing into their yards.... We also tried to get the police/animal control involved (twice) and they havent done anything either......what can we do???

Find the means to put up the fence. If you get the authorities involved, or file a lawsuit, the neighbors will hate you, and end up doing evil things.

If the authorities aren't doing anything and the owners can't be bothered to control their animals, I would have no issue with leaving a bowl of antifreeze where it was accessible to said animals. Is that cruel and illegal on my part? Probably. But I don't own a home just so some a$$hole's pet can use it for a toilet. I wouldn't have any trouble sleeping at night knowing I killed the dogs.

Set up a video camera so you can identify the offending dog or dogs. Then you can sue the owner as they are responsible for any damage their pet causes.

Take pictures of the dogs and the damage, get a quote on fixing the damage, find out who owns the dog and sue them.

Move, do more research before buying into a crummy neighborhood
