Can someone please help me. A neighbor (not my direct neighbor but close by where I see the fence all the time) who is the landlord of two houses in our neighborhood has painted his fences in striped bright colors. He rents to hud (low income housing). Both properties have a privacy fence on one side of the whole front yard. The side that faces his rental properties are not painted, but just plain wood.
The sides that face the neighbor's houses are painted in striped. One is purple and beige striped. The other used to be plain but he just recently painted it hot NEON pink and green stripes. I know he's doing this to be a turd and possibly lower property values here, because he only paints the side neighbors see, not the side his renters see. If he thought it was desirable surely he would paint the side facing his rentals too.
I'm in FL. I'm not very familiar with code enforcements so I'm hoping to see if there is any hope of getting him forced to paint the fences in less objectional colors. It's not just solid green. It's striped. It seriously looks like something from the Joker's hideout. Our neighborhood is nice other than this one man.
He doesn't live in our neighborhood. Residents who have been here for 30+ years said they've always had issues with him even in the past, swearing he'd only rent "to scum" and screw us (homeowners living here) over.
I'm in Fl.
