I got a speeding ticket when I was 17, then was involved in a wreck where my car hydroplaned into someone else a little later when I was 18. Went to court for both and got driving school for the wreck (the points will not go on my record) and had to pay the speeding ticket. I just got a letter saying I have to go to court for possible license suspension for getting 6 points on my record in under 12 months while under the age of 17. I have 2 problems: first, the 3 points for the wreck arent going to appear on my record, so why do they count? Second, I was 18 when I got in the wreck, not 17. The letter says for 6 points when UNDER 18. So what's up with that?

I would just attend court and handle the situation.

Best go to the Citizens Advice Bureau or legal firm of solicitors. Looks like another cockup on their side. Hopefully, you'll get it quashed
