So I'm majoring in international relations at the moment in Canada my goal is to either apply to law school in the US and become a corporate lawyer or get a job in the international relations field. Would it be possible to do that? And what kind of jobs would I get with a bachelors in IR? am I doing the right thing? Thank you

Major in International Relations going into law school? ?

What you should do is enter the workforce as soon as possible. After you get your undergrad in International Relations, apply to jobs at a company. Work for a couple of years to get an idea of which corporate area you wish to pursue a career within. Then, go get an advanced degree. I would recommend a general MBA. With this degree you have a better shot at a management position within a corporation.

Forget law school altogether. A law degree will do nothing for you in a corporate setting. The legal market is terrible (i.e. lots of unemployed attorneys, few jobs, low salaries, and high debt). A law degree nowadays is just a piece of paper of no value and yet costs $150,000. Skip law school.
