Need legal advice on California marijuana possession ticket.?

the ticket was issued to me June. I turned 18 in July. the ticket did not show up in the system for quiet some time so i assumed the cop just never bothered turning it in due to reasons i will soon explain. Now i got a letter in the mail saying my court date is in May. It all started real early one morning when i wanted to see my girlfriend. i had a friend pick me up because my car was currently being fixed up in a shop. after arriving there she told me not to come in yet and so i waited in the car with my friend. while we waited i went back to sleep as i knew he got out of the car to smoke some weed. after returning a cop had pulled up without me knowing so because i was asleep. my friend had put the pot in my pocket without my knowledge and i woke up with the cop tapping on my window. after i unlocked the door he yanked me out and searched me. upon discovering the weed he issued me a ticket. I believe he did this because i looked stoned. i had been sleeping and my eyes are a bright blue so they turn red easily. another factor that played into it was that my friend was on parole for stealing and was driving without a license. so they issued the ticket to me. Note that the car was not being run at the moment and he was chilling in the backseat as i was in the passenger. They could not arrest him for operating the vehicle without a license. Now i have never smoked in my life, i have a 4.0 GPA in school, and im already independent and ready to go to school next semester.after i acquire a bachelors of science in psychology i plan on joining the officers program then enlisting in the military. doing some research i found out that this can affect me more ways then i ever thought possible. because i am under 21 they will revoke my license for a year. just because i was a juvenile at the time of the arrest does not mean it will be expunged. employers will still be able to see it and i am in the process of getting a second job. On top of that i will not be able to enlist in the military with any drug convictions (juvenile or not). I am ******* infuriated at the world. I worked my *** off in highschool to work up to this dream and now this ticket has the potential for ruining it all. Federal funds, scholarships, employment opportunities, and the military. I have never smoked in my life and because of this cops ******* indiscretion my future is potentially going to be ****. I have been saving money to get my own attorney but all of them say because it was found in my pocket, my case wont be good. I am refusing all drug classes and alternative bargains because the military takes the same as pleading guilty. I NEED HELP. my future is on the line here and i have turned everywhere. because i am independent i cannot give up my license cause i need it for college, work, volunteer work, dates with my girlfriend, and a internship i will be soon taking up. I am less than a month away from having the court system take a **** on my life. I know the chances of the cop not showing up that day are very slim to none. I have never done drugs in my life and will not allow them to take my freedom. So are there any tips on driving with a suspended license and not being caught? Is there any defense i can take up on my court day? such as an illegal search or not giving me a speedy trial? because its been 10 months since it happened. any advice on this is needed. sorry for my ramble and if you have experience with this and want more details message me.thanks in advance to anyone who can help. I feel like my life depends on this cop not showing up to court. I am stressed out of my mind and i have lost all respect for law enforcement after this incident.

you need an attitude adjustment, the police officers "indiscretion " are you kidding?
everything is someone else's fault, you are perfect, well you picked your friends, you decided to sit in the car, your eyes turn red sleeping? do you think we are stupid?
attorneys won't touch this because you are not telling them the truth and you are lying to yourself as well..... if you were truly innocent all you had to do is request a drug test but you did not, so much for your claims.... hire a great attorney, good luck, until you wake up and start being honest with yourself you have no future.
