This past July I underwent a second varicocelectomy(by the same doctor as the first), and a vasectomy at the same time. My surgeon told me it wasn't a problem to do both. I have been fighting with the hospital since the surgery regarding swelling, and unrelenting pain with a total of 4 2nd opinions. At my last appointment, the doctor told me I had nerve damage, and there was nothing he could do, and told me to see the pain clinic. He stated "some people get hit by cars, you can dwell on it for yrs, or you can move on with your life." He told me "to stop trying to research why it happened, and move on with your life". Independent outside opinions diagnosed me with recurrent varicocele, and postoperative neuralgia. I tried nursing it at work while in pain, but it was way too intense. I have been on disability since Oct. Walking is quite painful since the surgery, let alone working as a heavy collision repair tech. My questions are do I have a case, and is nerve damage a complication, or negligence? Thank you in advance for your time and any advice you have to offer.
