New Immigration Law for Students n DUI!! Serious Help!!?

Got pulled over n I refused to take a breathalyzer test so I got arrested now I been charged with a DUI 1St my court day is August 23th. Can I still apply for the dreamer act to get a permission to work n go to school on August the 15th?

You will need to speak with an attorney for sure. Though from every attorney I've ever spoken with not taking the breathalyzer was a good move-did they draw blood or get a sample from you somewhere else? If they did not then there is no proof you were actually DUI-which means the DA will likely try to get you to agree to lesser charges-though like I said, you'll need to speak with an attorney.

Probably not. It would help if you told us which state this is in, but refusing to take the breathalyzer test (a crime all by itself in most states) and the DUI could very easily get you deported.

There is no new law. Only a presidential directive and that does not mean you are home free. You now have a charge and can be deported.
