I am in New Jersey and I'm 17 with a 60 yr old male friend. This story is very vague, my parents found out & filed for harrassment. He went to municipal court and was found guilty of harrassment and the judge ordered him to cease all contact with me. Two days after the court date, I texted him and asked him how court was & he explained to me that we can not talk anymore. After that, he was arrested and now has to go to Superior Court for Court of Contempt.

So, here are my questions...
-I had researched that the penalties for FIRST OFFENSE court of contempt are 0 to 180 days jail & $0-$1000 fine. He has no criminal history before all of this. Is this information correct?

-I had also read about domestic violence contempt of court is a maximum of 18 months in jail. If my parents are making him seem like he is putting me in danger however have no proof of him physically hurting me in any way, could they ever give him 18 months?

-If you are experienced in law, what do you think his sentence will be?

This is not a very good story. It shows a complete lack of imagination. Perhaps if you try to write a story about a dog or cat we would find it interesting. The silly part of this whole thing is that people are going to try to give serious answers to something that you just thought up out of the blue.
