i have a pair of cream coloured knee high socks that are somewhat of a knitted pattern. I also have a pair of red patent leather heels that have a thin buckle around the top.
I was thinking that this combination may look good together, but I'm scared I'm going to look too much like a japanese schoolgirl or too cutesy?!

Any thoughts and ideas how i can make it work?

it really does depend if you pull them off or not, and what other clothes you wear with it, my suggestion is ask a friend what they think and tell them to give you a truly honest opinion, you really just need to be wearing the right clothes with them, and don't overkill if you do, it should be a once-in-a-while thing.

I might wear the socks with my Mary Janes in the winter, but apart from that I'm strictly barefoot, and you'll never catch me in heels.
