I've read the books, so if you need to explain my question by making references to the books, that's fine too. Anyways, I'm really confused about how it seems as though it is legal to date minors. For example, Aria and Ezra, after he transfers to Hollis, aren't afraid to go public about being a couple. However, I thought it would still be illegal as Aria is still technically a minor. Same goes for Spencer and Wren. Wren is obviously out of college, and besides the fact that Spencer's family would be completely against Spencer dating Melissa's ex fiancee, Wren makes it sound like if Spencer is interested in him there would be a possibility that they could date and go public and convince Spencer's parents. And then again, for Jenna and Garrett, who at first are secret, but then go public. All through the show, they make it seem legal for people to date minors because I'm guessing the girls are supposed to be sixteen or seventeen, and these men are supposed to be in their twenties, I'm assuming. Is there something different with the law in Pennsylvania, or just the law in general, or is this just fiction?? Thanks so much
