If someone has entered the United States of America illegally, should they be deported? If they broke the immigration laws enacted by Congress, why shouldn't they be deported? I don't want to hear "Human Kindness", we can only give kindness when our country is stable. I'm looking for sound reasoning. I'm an independent voter. Try to sway me to your side.

Hm, good question. I would say if our foreign policy and government actions had nothing to do with the movement that brought them here, I would say absolutely since the amount of people that would hypothetically be here "illegally" would be negligible.
Unfortunately, the United States has had a long history of invading countries only to take the resources that we want. So if you're going to whine about an imaginary "immigrant problem" at least don't forget to mention the policies that we set into action that drove them here to begin with,

I think Ron Paul's policy on illegal immigration is most sane. Dry up the resources and illegals will leave on their own. No more translators, no more welfare, no more healthcare, no more education, no more drivers' licenses,..stiff fines for anyone renting to illegals or hiring them.
