In December I received a CRIMINAL speeding ticket on the I-10 in Arizona for exceeding 85 mph. I fought the ticket and the prosecutor offered be a plea bargin to reduce the ticket to a CIVIL charge.
Now, I know civil tickets are not misdemeanors like criminal tickets and do not end up on your record, but since mine was originally a criminal offense will it show up on background checks? Or perhaps a ticket that originally was criminal and it shows that it was dropped to civil? Or is it just gone?
Thanks!
