I was new here and failed to stop at a posted stop sign, as i was about to turned but suddenly frm behind police vehicle came and i got nervous and so this mistake happen; but my car speed was very slow and i stop by just 2-3 steps after the stop sign, also i try to explain to the cop, bt he asked my driver licence and went to his car after 15 min. he came and gave me a ticket? what shuld i do?

Take the ticket to court. One thing that helps is trying to change the date that the court tries to set for a hearing to a different day. Sometimes you can get a date when the cop can't appear in court and the ticket will be automatically thrown out. If the cop shows up anyway, try to get the judge to throw out the ticket. Sometimes that will work. Other than that, there is not much you can do.
