I am going in for Chem. Engineering and I did my SIR for both NYU Poly and UCSD but im still torn between.
Can you help me decide?

.............
1) California (liberals, research hotspot, loose laws on certain things ;D)
2) super close to the beach, i grew up on the beach, love to surf and chill on the shore
3) ranked like 17 for engineering so UCSD diploma may = more job oppurtunities
4) sweet facilities and techy campus
5) crazy a$$ library
6) San Diego is beautiful
7) my sister may be in grad school in LA
8) seems like fun/hardworking students to motivate me to do well
9) nice suite for 16 dudes or 8 dudes idk freshman year
10) alot of asians. im asian :] ferrow yerrows
11) parties @ san diego state?!
12) free public transporation for students
UCSD Cons

2) far from home (im from NJ)
3) ugly girls according to college p.ro.w.l3r
4) will have to make new friends
5) night life doesnt seem wild enough
6) heard californians can come off as superficial or cheesy to eastcoast people. im very "down to earth" so I dont know how id fit in
NYU Poly Pros
.................
1) 33k (got a 21k scholarship)
2) in Brooklyn (lots of things to do,wild nightlife, close to manhattan)

5) familiar area
6) small classes
7) have a connection to an internship if i go there
8) Poly will merge with NYU in 4 years
9) recently became center for some new york science department idk

13) i love the city :P
NYU Poly Cons
..................
1) 85% dudes. not cool!
2) ranked like 60 for engineering, not sure but its up there
3) not in the heart of manhattan but i hear good things bout brooklyn
4) small campus so it prolly doesnt have much facilities/funding?
5) not well known school
6) went to orientation and the students seemed weird, met a kid who got a full ride but was also a drug dealer, he seemed like a loser
