Underage gambling problem?

Okay, so recently I joined a website called Top Cashback, where you complete offers to earn some money. I'm 16 years old and I entered my date of birth expecting that the offers would be suitable for my age group. However, one of the offers was for a bingo website, where you can deposit £10 and you get £20 back, making a £10 profit. I signed up thinking that the £10 was just a membership fee, kind of like Amazon Prime, or some online video games for example. In order to get the cashback, you needed to play one of the games once. I did, but to my surprise I won an extra £20. That is when I found out it was a gambling site. Help me please? The website is galabingo, how can I cancel my account, and how much trouble would I be in? (In terms of law that is) Is this a criminal offence? Why did they let me join if I was underage? Surely this isn't my fault? Please give me honest answers...

You don't have anything to worry about. The company got just what they wanted. They wanted to steal £10, and that's just what they did.

You will NEVER be able to get any money out of this site. Just call it a lesson learned, and don't ever visit this site again.

You only THINK that you've "won" that £10 profit, but I promise you that company will not give you any money.

Just don't get fooled again. Truly - there are no sites out there that are just going to give you money.

you enter details, ie: date of birth when you join, and they make it very clear you must be over 18 so I'm surprised they let you join. if you contact the help line, they have on-line help, they will close the account. You have violated their terms & conditions so they will also take back the winnings, failing that, just dont go back.

Do you have the money yet? If so, just never go back to the site and ignore it. After all, you didn't know, so your conscience should be clear, but as you know now that it is illegal you shouldn't go on it. If not, try to get the money and then follow above instructions.

This is serious matter and you may want to send a letter to the company with your contact information. I'm sure it will be understood, just make sure you stay polite and act innocent even though you know what happened to this point.

Best of luck.

Well you lied when you entered your date of birth when signing up and depositing so this is a nest of **** all of your own making. Before you withdraw you will be required to fulfil the turnover requirements of the site, this will involve gambling the deposit amount typically 40+ times, by which time you will have almost certainly lost any money that you won/deposited. Upon withdrawal they will most likely request a scan of your passport and a scan of a recent utility bill, so even if you fulfil the requirements there is no way they will let you have your money back. My advice to you is to forget this ever happened, send their marketing emails to spam and after a few years the account will automatically closed and the money donated to charity.
